The Manteno Freedom Party is 100% opposed to the CCP owning and operating in Manteno or anywhere in the U.S. because they are not to be trusted and their companies pose a great risk to the U.S. because of espionage, funding the Chinese military and the use of slave labor in China.

In 2023, our elected officials cut a deal behind closed doors with Gotion, LLC to build an electric vehicle battery plant in Manteno, IL. This plant is estimated to receive over $7 billion in state and federal tax subsidies, and appallingly, Gotion is linked to the CCP and slave labor in China.
